Protea Gin is a pink gin inspired by the hot South African Summer. The Protea is South Africa's national flower and is unique to South Africa. I have used this flower to create a label for a Gin that is perfety for a hot summers afternoon. The colouring in the illustration reflects the sweet and refreshing taste of pink gin. The rustic feel to the label through the line work perfectly encapsulates the South African laidback vibe and the water colouring gives it a light airy feel, as well as promotes the floral notes in the gin itself. It invites you to take a seat and have a G&T at the end of a long summers day. I have used a classic Serif type to balance out the modernness of the image.
